Jackie Wachter
Co-founder and creative director, FOUNT
Jackie Wachter is the co-founder and creative director of FOUNT, a Cleveland design house that makes fine leather handbags. She started the brand in 2014 with Phillip Wachter, FOUNT's CEO. The name means "an abundant source of desirable quality," and the bags live up to it: full-grain Italian leather and solid brass hardware, made with fair trade practices and backed by a lifetime guarantee.
FOUNT opened its first storefront in Cleveland in 2016. It now has two stores in Cleveland and one in Columbus, plus locations in Alpharetta, Georgia, and Southlake, Texas. The collection runs from totes, shoulder bags and crossbody bags to clutches, belts and belt bags, and recent work includes the Korie Tote, a collaboration with Korie Robertson.
Jackie gave her Greyt Big Talk at Hidden Secret Studios in September 2023, sharing how she and her co-founder grew a small Cleveland leather brand into a growing chain of stores.

Hidden Secret Studios is a studio space at 13000 Athens Avenue in Lakewood, the former Templar auto plant better known as the Screw Factory. The building's upper floors are home to artists' and makers' studios, dance and fitness businesses, a winery and event space, with artists working there since 1994. Greyt Big Talk met at Hidden Secret Studios in September 2023, when Jackie Wachter spoke in a brick-walled room with tall windows and plenty of plants.
