James Carol

Talent buyer, AEG Presents Cleveland

James Carol has spent more than 15 years booking live music in Cleveland. As a talent buyer for AEG Presents he books shows at the historic Agora Theatre, and he played a key part in opening Globe Iron, AEG's 1,200-capacity concert venue in the former Metropolis nightclub on the West Bank of the Flats, in 2025. His work spans talent booking, event promotion, marketing and social media.

Before AEG he was the lead talent buyer at the Beachland Ballroom & Tavern, where he booked acts such as Billie Eilish, Noah Kahan, Tyler Childers and IDLES. He co-founded NEOCycle, a bike and music festival, and served as music director for Ingenuity Cleveland, the nonprofit festival celebrating local and regional talent. Cleveland Scene named him the city's Best Promoter in 2014.

His Greyt Big Talk, "The Gritty Sound of The Land," took place at Globe Iron in May 2025.

THE GLOBE IRON

Location

THE GLOBE IRON

2325 Elm St, Cleveland, OH, 44113

Globe Iron is a concert venue at 2325 Elm Street on the West Bank of the Flats, run by AEG Presents. It bills itself as Cleveland's newest 1,200-capacity concert venue: a mostly standing-room hall with exposed brick, arched alcoves and dark steel beams overhead. Beyond concerts, it hosts weddings, receptions, banquets and other private events. In May 2025 Greyt Big Talk set up rows of chairs in front of the stage for James Carol, talent buyer at AEG Presents, whose talk was titled "The Gritty Sound of The Land."
