About the organization

Cleveland Clinic is a nonprofit multispecialty academic medical center that brings together clinical and hospital care with research and education. Founded in Cleveland in 1921 by four physicians, it has its main campus near downtown Cleveland and, at the end of 2025, counted about 83,000 caregivers, 23 hospitals and 300 outpatient locations around the world.

Its hospitals include Lutheran Hospital on West 25th Street, serving downtown and the Ohio City, Tremont and Gordon Square neighborhoods. Its Arts & Medicine Institute, formed in 2008, brings music therapy, art therapy, performances, exhibitions and a large fine art collection into patient care across the health system.
