Colin Brown

Colin Brown is a first-generation farmer and the owner of Gifted Grass Farms, which raises pigs, poultry and beef cattle on non-GMO feed across several farms in Medina County, from a base in Litchfield near Chippewa Lake. Before farming, Brown was a sous chef at The Greenhouse Tavern in Cleveland, specializing in whole-animal butchery, and started out in 2014 growing produce on half an acre in Spencer. Gifted Grass once supplied about 20 restaurants around the Midwest, and when the pandemic closed them it turned to selling directly, including at the Coit Road Farmers Market and to schools and nonprofits.

Brown co-owns Farmer's Feast with chef Rasul Welch and grows the food it serves. Farmer's Feast cooked for Greyt Culture's Golden Hour at The Lumen in 2022 and at North Coast Harbor and The Shoreway in 2023.
