Bio

Jennie Doran and Andrew Worm are the co-owners of The Judith Cafe and Room Service, and creative hospitality entrepreneurs known for building spaces that feel deeply personal, beautifully considered, and genuinely welcoming. Together, they opened The Judith on February 10, 2023, transforming a historic Lorain Avenue storefront in Cleveland’s Detroit Shoreway neighborhood into a French-inspired cafe defined by warmth, intimacy, and thoughtful design. The 28-seat cafe quickly became known for its layered, European sensibility and its menu of espresso, pastries, tartines, salads, sandwiches, small plates, and wine. At the heart of their work is a shared belief that hospitality should do more than serve people - it should shape how they feel. Through The Judith, Jennie and Andrew have created a space that invites guests to slow down, linger, and connect. Published coverage has highlighted the cafe’s preserved original ceiling, vintage decor, and carefully composed atmosphere, all of which reflect the pair’s instinct for creating environments that are both refined and approachable. The cafe also carries subtle traces of their Room Service roots, including a small retail offering that extends their eye for curation beyond food and drink. Their partnership in The Judith is also grounded in a longer creative and entrepreneurial story. Before launching the cafe, Jennie and Andrew were already known as the owners of Room Service, the boutique brand they built into a distinctive presence through its curated mix of designforward goods, apparel, and home items. Reporting around The Judith has described the cafe as a natural extension of that sensibility - a place where beauty, comfort, and experience come together with a strong point of view. The Judith itself is named after Andrew’s mother, adding another layer of intimacy and personal meaning to the space they created. Together, Jennie and Andrew have built more than a cafe, they have created a neighborhood destination with a clear identity - one that reflects their commitment to atmosphere, care, and the lasting impression a thoughtfully made place can leave on the people who enter it. Their work continues to show how hospitality, when approached with intention and imagination, can become a form of storytelling all its own.
